ISOLATION AS CULT “Phase #2” flexi disc Ep out now on Slaughterhouse Records, officially distributed by FOAD/Scareystore!!

Posted in Isolation As Cult on February 21st, 2017 by foadmaster

We’re proud to announce that ISOLATION AS CULT have just released a new flexi disc EP on Slaughterhouse Records (Toxic Basement Studio‘s own label) and FOAD/Scareystore is the official distributor of this horrendous aural hecatomb!

One year after the sonic decimation of their 90 song Split 7″ with Aborticidio on FOAD Records, ISOLATION AS CULT returns with a new overdose of anti-musical virulence. 113 songs of complete Noisecore nihilism, hopeless and exacerbated to the most insane thresholds, combining the old school extremism of 7MON, Fear Of God, VNA, AxCx, early Cripple Bastards with Japanese filthnoisepunk influences (Gai, Confuse, Toxo-Vomit, State Children)!!

IAC from Italy is a revived early ’90s aberration of GTB from Cripple Bastards teaming up with HOD, chief of the infamous “Toxic Basement Studio” from which most FOAD releases are conceived and properly mastered for vinyl. If you’re a nostalgic of late 80s / early 90s short song Noisecore in the vein of Stench Of Corpse, Sore Throat, Crawl Noise and so on, this is exactly that kind of madness. Round cut, green flexi disc limited to 250 copies!

Posted in Releases, Violent Noise Attack, Wartorn on October 20th, 2015 by foadmaster

As previously announced, our October / November release schedule is all based on manic fast earblasting Noise in the good old tape-trading days mania…Once again we like to move through different underground genres without scoring always the same patterns, so here we go with something really fast and extreme, and expect another double jackhammering assault at the end of next month! So, VIOLENT NOISE ATTACKComplete deafness 1988-1989” LP and WARTORNDestroy all monsters!” gatefold LP are both out now on FOAD Records! All pre-orders have been shipped already, and the limited yellow vinyl version of VNA got sold out in a breathe! If you still want to catch WARTORN’s die-hard edition on marble green wax and V.N.A. on black vinyl (less than 100 left) act at lightspeed because they won’t last for long. Also, be sure to keep an eye open on our official mailorder ScareyStore as it’s getting constantly updated with tons of interesting stuff ranging from Punk, Hardcore, Thrash/Death/Black Metal, Doom/Sludge, Grindcore, Powerviolence and a lot more, quickly approaching to 4500 items available making it Italy’s largest and most efficient source for these genres. Now more in detail about our 2 new releases:

WARTORN “Destroy all monsters!” gatefold LP

32 song discography including all the studio recordings (1991-1993) of this high speed thrashing Hardcore brigade from the U.K. Take the best elements and impact of the craziest Japanese, American and British fast-core, blend them all together with some breakneck tempo changes and you get an approximate picture of the aggression they were able to deliver. This is so fast and unpredictable that at times it even oozes of an early pioneering attempt of what some US bands of the time were already labeling as Power Violence, e.g. think of Infest, Neanderthal, Crossed Out or No Comment…

Here’s a short biography to introduce them more specifically:

“Formed in late 1990 by SORE THROAT vocalist Rich “Militia” Walker after the spontaneous combustion of both bands he was playing in (SORE THROAT and WARFEAR), WARTORN began with only one aim, to create a mix of Japanese style HC such as GUDON, SYSTEMATIC DEATH and GAUZE and the ultra-fast attack of America’s SIEGE and YOUTH KORPX. Joining him in this new band were long time comrade Ian The Merciless of local 80’s Death Metal legends QUOTHROS on vocals and Dutch lunatic drummer Lennaert Roomer. Early rehearsals also included DISASTER’s guitar player Browny on bass. And with this embryonic line up the band recorded the raw and primitive “Last among Equals” demo tape on a battered 4 track recorder in early 1991. Pretty soon after Browny moved on to concentrate on DISASTER full time, so the ex-bassist of WARFEAR was brought in and an additional vocalist called Mel. With this line up the band began playing live aiming to make peoples ears bleed in the local scene with their unrelenting high velocity assaults, much to the dismay of the fashion following local peers as WARTORN’s music stood out like a sore thumb in a sea of pretentious Black Flag acolytes. In 1992 the band recorded tracks for the “Trapped In A tooth gear” sampler LP and a split EP with Rich & Lennaerts other band NAILBOMB (The original, not the band who stole their name after playing a show with them)”.

“As with all bands, the inevitable musical differences cropped up, the bassist was becoming increasingly bewildered by the fast progressing style which just kept on getting faster, and Mel the vocalist just disappeared after one gig never to be seen again. Parting ways with the bass player in late 1992 WARTORN replaced him with Big Jim Rushby (IRONSIDE / IRON MONKEY) and began teaching him the tracks for a new EP. Eventually in early 1993 WARTORN entered Fulton St Studios and in three hours laid down 11 brand new songs and a cover of Madball’s “Get Out”. Further gigging with the likes of Voorhees and Chaos UK followed before the band played their final show in the summer of 1994 before Lennaert and Jim both moved to different parts of the country thus rendering the band inactive only a few months before the second EP “Banzai” was released on the guitar player of DROPDEAD’s label over a year after it was recorded…”

Housed in a solid gatefold cover including lyrics, photos and flyers.  Limited edition of 300 copies, first 100 on marbled green vinyl.

VIOLENT NOISE ATTACK “Complete deafness 1988-1989” LP

Total discography of this terrifying Grind/Noisecore unit hailing from France… V.N.A. (Violent Noise Attack) was the side-project of a crew of friends from the late 80s French scene formed by members of the Thrash band NOMED, Pat from the highly missed label “Thrash Records” (that released Exit 13, Carbonized, Sorcery, Sentenced, Vital Remains etc…)  and local HC bands/zine editors. Their debut demotape “Final execution“, the split 7” with AGATHOCLES and the song on “1984, the fourth” Comp. LP have been always seen as some of the most intense and devastating expressions of the early short-song Grind/Noisecore era, respected by the most deranged noise extremists all over the world. Try to imagine a mix of SORE THROAT, NAPALM DEATH‘s b-side of “Scum” and FEAR OF GOD and you get the idea of the brain-drilling mayhem these maniacs were able to deliver, with a studio production that was fairly above the average level of the period.

This LP collects all their existing recordings, mastered from sources directly provided and licensed by the band members…90 SONGS of absolute ear blasting horror! Side A includes their demo (1988), the split 7″ with AGATHOCLES (1989) and a couple of unreleased studio tracks.  Side B has all never heard before stuff: a rehearsal, a full live set and even a sound-check! Comes with a 4 page insert featuring liner notes, photos, original artworks and flyers. This record is entirely dedicated to VNA’s members André Lemesle and Patrick Blondeau that both passed away few years ago.. R.I.P.!

Limited edition of 300 copies, less than 100 on black vinyl available!

FEAR OF GOD “Under the chainsaw – Complete Demos 1987” gatefold LP (picture disc, blue and black vinyl) OUT NOW on FOAD Records!!!

Posted in Fear Of God, Releases on May 29th, 2014 by foadmaster

The wait is over! After hitting the US soil with an intensive 3 day attendance with FOAD‘s record stand at Maryland Death Fest XII we’re back and happy to introduce a brand new ear splitting release. It was expected to come out 2 weeks earlier but due to a pressing plant’s delay, this just came in. All pre-orders have been immediately shipped of course. So, FEAR OF GODUnder the chainsaw – Complete Demos 1987” gatefold LP is out now on FOAD Records, available in 3 different versions: die-hard picture disc LP, solid blue vinyl and black vinyl. Carrying on our effort on bringing to light all the existing FEAR OF GOD‘s recordings in the most complete and quality-obsessed way, “Under the chainsaw” comes as the 3rd installment in the series after the s/t 21 track EP 1988 and “As statues fell” 12″.  It consists of what back in 1993 came out as their cult “Konserven” EP (FOG’s official Demo 1987 on vinyl) + a huge bonus of 22 songs taken from alternate (and unreleased) tapes recorded in the same period or even before, when the band had just been formed.

As the singer Erich Keller states “The material on this 12” EP documents the development of our sound. There was never any intention to release any of these recordings with the exception of the demo tape, which was previously released on a 7” EP entitled ‘Konserven’.“  You don’t need many words to explain how this sounds like. Every single frame of FEAR OF GOD is the most extreme and brutal delivery of what has been ever conceived in the clash of sounds between Noisecore and Hardcore. As Erich adds: “Hardcore, grindcore, death metal, noise, fuckshitupism – whatever. We didn’t agree on much, but on the following we were unanimous – that Fear Of God should be the most extreme band in the world, or as we would say, the most “brutal.” Every member of the band was under pressure to deliver his contribution with the utmost intensity. The drums had to go as fast as possible, the guitars should grind out riffs as well as produce a wall of noise, the bass and backing vocals should lay the heavily distorted grounds for the overall basic structure and I did everything I could to make my voice sound non-human.“  And this record shows the band’s first step in a short-lived yet hyper-generative progression that made of them one of the most impactful and radical harbingers of Hardcore pushed to inhuman limits of anger and aural destruction. As with all the other F.O.A.D. releases, the stuff included on this 12″ has been selected and scrupulously restored/mastered at Toxic Basement studio for the best possible sounding result on vinyl. Housed in a thick reverse board gatefold jacket with special half white half transparent UV-spot print and A2 poster, including extensive liner notes by Erich Keller and rare/unreleased photos and flyers.  And an extra surprise, did you ever expect to hear Fear Of God shredding ND’s “Scum”? It’s all in here.

Available in 3 different versions:

FEAR OF GOD “As statues fell” LP (white and black vinyl / die-hard picture disc) pre-orders start NOW!!

Posted in Fear Of God, Pre Orders, Releases on March 5th, 2013 by foadmaster

Here we go! Pre-orders for the longly awaited FEAR OF GOD “As statues fell” LP repress on FOAD Records are finally open! Originally released by Erich Keller’s cult label Off The Disk in 1988, “As statues fell” is an uncompromised manifesto of merciless ear-blasting Noise/Grind at its most savage and annihilating form. Remastered from original mastertapes, spiced up with 9 additional tracks, it now sounds better than ever before. The clean A-side recording is a tour de force with non-stop over the top brutality and highest speed-drumming – no triggers, no overdubs, just extremely brutal power. This was clearly the band’s climax as a live band. The B-side represents the impact on the audience: dirty, raw, violent – like a bunch of rabid dogs jumping off the stage to rip the audience apart. If their debut 21 track Ep (1988) tore you a new asshole, this 33 song version of “As statues fell” will leave you floored with its antitank gun gracefulness!
